Available for the first time on compact disc as taken from the master tapes, this disc was recorded for Aeolian-Skinner's "The King of Instruments" series on the organ at Christ Church Cathedral, St. Louis, in 1967. The disc includes Marie-Madeleine Durufle performing works by Durufle, Clerambault, D'Aquin, and Tournemire, and Maurice Durufle performing works by Durufle, Tournemire, and Messiaen, with over 72 minutes of music, including five additional tracks recorded during these sessions, but not released in the original LP format.
