The East Texas Pipe Organ Festival is a six-day festival featuring the area's Aeolian-Skinner pipe organs designed and tonally finished by Roy Perry. We will visit the Aeolian-Skinner organs at First Presbyterian Church, Kilgore; St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Kilgore; First Baptist Church, Longview; St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, Shreveport, Louisiana; and, on Dallas day, Kessler Park United Methodist Church, Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist, and St. Luke's Episcopal Church, and will also have evensong at Church of the Incarnation, Dallas. In addition to our recitals on Aeolian-Skinners, will also have demonstration recitals on organs by Hook & Hastings, Moller, Pilcher, Skinner, and Willis/Wicks.

Featured recitalists and guest speakers are David Baskeyfield, Joby Bell, George Bozeman, Charles Callahan, Casey Cantwell, The Chenaults, Scott Dettra and the choir of Church of the Incarnation, Dallas, Mark Dwyer, Richard Elliott, Jeremy Filsell, Jean Guillou, Stephen Hartman, Michael Kleinschmidt, Christopher Lynch, Larry Palmer, Graham Schultz, Walt Strony, and William Teague, with special presentations featuring this year's guest of honor, concert organist, Fred Swann, who will also be playing works by Searle Wright and Clarence Dickinson for us at St. Mark's, Shreveport! And, back by popular demand will be a choral concert at First Presbyterian Church, Kilgore recreating the famous Aeolian-Skinner "King of Instruments, Volume X: Music of the Church" in its entirety, plus additional choral works by Sowerby ("Psalm 122") and Purvis (his Cantata, "The Ballad of Judas Iscariot"). Guest harpist, Stephen Hartman, will be joining organist Charles Callahan for a program of music for harp and organ, including a rare performance of Leo Sowerby's Harp Concerto.

Check back often as we announce the addition of other guest recitalists to our schedule.
